Poor Haleigh Cummings. She didn't have a chance in hell with Misty Croslin as her babysitter/step-mother and Ronald Cummings as her father. The allegations of drugs, parties, drug trafficking and endangering the safety of a minor are overwhelming.
February 9, 2009 - Haleigh vanished from her father Ronald Cummings Jr.'s mobile home, where she lives with Cummings and his 17-year-old girlfriend Misty Croslin and son, Junior.
February 10, 2009 - 3:00 AM - Ronald Cummings returns home from work to find his daughter missing.
Misty and Ronald call 911 to report Haleigh missing saying a brick was propping the back door open and someone had taken her.
Misty claims she noticed this when she got up to use the bathroom.
Ronald talks with the 911 operator making comments, he will kill whoever is responsible and, "mother f’ing prison doesn’t scare me.”
February 11, 2009 - Haleigh's maternal grandmother, Marie Griffis, told reporters that she feared the worst.
February 12, 2009 - The father of the missing 5-year-old made a plea for the return of his daughter.
Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, spoke to reporters near the search area.
Sheffield's mother, Marie Griffis, said that she and her daughter are devastated.
"It's like I've got a hole in my body, and she feels helpless because she can't do anything but sit here."
February 18, 2009 - Nancy Grace reports there is a tip that Misty Croslin was not home the night Haleigh went missing. There are also inconsistencies in the sleeping arrangements with Misty and the two children that night. The police find the pink tee-shirt that Haleigh was alleged to be wearing the night she goes missing.
February 26, 2009 - Prime Time News has a video of Haleigh and her brother opening Christmas gifts.
Haleigh's biological mom goes missing after police requests a DNA sample. She claims to have a doctor's appointment.
March 6, 2009 - It is reported that family members supply DNA samples.
March 10, 2009 - Reports of the engagement between Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin surface. Misty shows off engagement ring to reporters.
March 12, 2009 - Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings marry.
August 6, 2009 - CNN reports, the father of Haleigh Cummings, Ronald Cummings, is charged with burglary with assault after a fist fight with Misty Croslin's brother.
August 19, 2009 - Police say that the so-called "abductor" of Haleigh is someone she knows.
August 28, 2009 - Nancy Grace reports, Misty Croslin flunks a polygraph test.
September 5, 2009 - It is reported that Misty and Ronald had a fight the night before Haleigh went missing.
September 23, 2009 - Misty Croslin skips town after an alleged argument with Ronald.
September 24, 2009 - Mother of Croslin has warrant for arrest on forgery charges in Tennessee. It's believed by media to be an attempt to get information from her about the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.
September 25, 2009 - Jane Velez-Mitchell reports that a jailhouse letter from a friend of Misty Croslin was received by police. It states, Haleigh died after getting hold of some Oxycontin and overdosing and also, Misty and the friend placed her in a black plastic bag and dumped her into a pond.
September 26, 2009 - Lisa Croslin, Misty's mother arrested and being held in Tennessee on forgery charges. The video is released where the letter, about the overdose of Oxycontin by Haleigh, is delievered to the St. Augustine, FL newspaper. The police interview the woman in the video about the letter.
October 5, 2009 - One week after Misty Croslin returns, she disappears again with a friend.
October 7, 2009 - It's reported that Ronald Cummings will file for a divorce from Misty.
October 8, 2009 - Misty Croslin is in Florida and it is reported on Nancy Grace, by Courtney Ballinger, Misty yelled that she "was dead" during a road rage incident. Courtney claims that Croslin chases her on the interstate and appears to waive a gun at her. Ms. Ballinger states that she was not going to bring charges and called 911 just to get out of the situation. Misty is handcuffed and questioned by police according to Nancy Grace.
October 17, 2009 - Court awards the divorce in the Cummings/Croslin case.
January 22, 2010 - Couple, Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings are arrested in trafficking drug sting.
Ronald Cummings, 26, faces three counts of trafficking prescription medication -- including Oxycodone and Hydrocodone. He is being held in jail on $500,000 bond, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.
Misty Croslin, 18, faces six counts of trafficking prescription medication and is jailed on $950,000 bond.
January 26, 2010 - Ronald speaks from behind bars. He states that the investigation and arrest is only for police to get information on the disappearance on Haleigh Cummings.
January 28, 2010 - On court video, Ronald says he will "kill his daughter's abductor."
January 29, 2010 - Nancy Grace reports that Ronald Cummings says he believes Misty knows more than she has told and if she is locked up like he is, maybe she will tell what she knows. On video he states that his relationship with Misty is ex-wife/friend. He also states to a newspaper reporter, he has a girl friend and believes he is going to prison with the arrest.
